#  Peiker Microphone Integration (Deutsche Luft- und Raumfahrt, DLR)

Today we want to introduce you to a really cool project that Jean from DLR has implemented for his in-house training programme.

It is supposed to give the possibility to communicate with the simulated air traffic control from the cockpit. For this purpose, a Peiker microphone with push-to-talk function is connected to a LAN socket. This happens to fit perfectly into the printer slot of the A320 pedestal.

The Push-To-Talk (PTT) function uses a small Arduino as a controller. The amplifier is connected to the AUX socket of the computer. The rest can then be controlled via the software.

Of course, the microphone will later get a holder from the 3D printer.

This solution is an exciting idea also for your home cockpit. We can only say, hats off to so much creativity and technical competence. Well done!
