Simulation Master Power Control

Usually it's strongly forbidden to add functions to your home cockpit not compliant with a real aircraft. But in this case we thought it might be a good idea.

Objective is to design a real "cold and dark" cockpit without booting all up before entering the flight deck. Same once you leave.

Even more important is a emergency power off function just in case something goes really wrong.

With that panel Marcin (Skalarki) was so kind to custom make it for us we can (beside of other things to describe later) switch all three power lines of the 220 V grid commonly used in Germany.

We certainly do not allow 200 V over our heads. Therefore three 12 V relais switch 220 V with 16 A. The high voltage parts are stored in a separate cutout box outside the simulator.

Before we can do this we need to build the backlighting and the common connectors for the panel.

Justus is so kind to help us...

This panel will be located in the after overhead section.
