It is 8 p.m. local time in Düsseldorf. Today we are heading north-northeast towards Hamburg. The weather is as you would expect for this time of year. So more or less winterly -  uuuhh.

Accordingly, checking outside is really "enjoyable" today. At least it's not raining at the moment, so our clothes will stay dry.

Still, it's nice to be back in the warm cockpit. The plane was in Lisbon and Prague earlier today and is nicely heated up. We take over the aircraft from the previous crew in good condition.

The flight preparations are underway, and we would actually be ready on time if boarding hadn't been delayed slightly. SkyOps has asked us to wait for a few more guests, as they arrived in Düsseldorf on an overseas flight that was slightly delayed. We're happy to do so...

Then everyone is there and the passenger boarding bridge retracts. The tow truck is already hooked up. Now we're finally ready to go.

At this time of day, there aren't many flights leaving Düsseldorf. This means we can taxi from Gate A01 to 23 L without further delay. The holding point is L3.

The weather in Hamburg isn't as bad as expected. We had anticipated heavy rain and storms, but they won't arrive until later tonight. It's time for us to get going.

There is still some snow on the 23 L. But that's no problem, it's still above zero degrees.

And then we're already on our way. Before we turn north, we take a quick photo towards Düsseldorf city.

As soon as we are above the cloud cover, things calm down. Everyone relaxes. There is a lot going on on the radio, but the cabin crew can do their job in peace.

A short time later, we are already descending again. Hamburg can already be glimpsed through the clouds.

The weather is actually much better than expected, so the approach is easy to fly.

This is actually unusual for Hamburg. We are given a follow-me car. Perhaps ground control didn't think we were capable of driving across the entire airport to find our outer position.

And then the flight is already over. We quickly tidy up the cockpit and then it's off to Hamburg's old town... :-)

A good flight has come to an end. Without drama and with no stress for passengers and crew. Thank you for flying with us! :-)
