Thrust levers - How to adjust actuation resistance

Perhaps you are familiar with this problem? The resistance with which the push levers can be moved

  • has decreased over time
  • is not the same on both sides
  • does not meet your expectations.

There is a simple solution to this problem. In this tutorial, we will show you how to do it.

The first step is to remove the TQ, otherwise you will not be able to access the relevant areas. Then remove the front plate and the panel with the engine control.

When the push lever is in the correct position, you will clearly see two screws. These screws can be used to adjust the friction resistance within certain limits.

You should take care when adjusting the resistance. Too much resistance is not always realistic. It can also damage the TQ. Therefore, take your time and try out the right value for you. This does not affect the hardness of the detents.

Can't recommend that. I have wrecked two TQs by just one turn too much.

Yes. As said in the article. Be very careful and don’t overturn it.
