The Flight Control Unit (FCU) is the primary autopilot interface. It is located on the Glare Shield (just above the main instrument displays) and allows pilots to control autopilot modes, flight director settings, and autothrust functions.

The FCU is a stand-alone device that works independently of other components. The unit is designed to be built in glare shield or similar construction. It only requires a power and USB connection.
